The G.A. Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater in St. Petersburg, founded in 1918 on the initiative of the writer Maxim Gorky, actress Maria Andreyeva, and poet Alexander Blok. Each season, at least 5 premieres and over 350 performances take place on the theater's stages, social and educational projects are implemented, exhibitions, round tables, concerts, and lectures by leading contemporary art figures are held.
